Treatments
The objective of “Sports massage" is to assist the body to recover from specific sport, work-related or lifestyle “injuries”, support a specific training regime, or help prepare and recover from competition or physical activity.
“Holistic massage" aims to treat the ''whole'' person – Physical, Mental and Emotional. Having been trained in both styles of massage my approach to massage is to look beyond the issues and view the client as a “whole”.
It is quite often the case that "Pain" is the location of a symptom, and not necessarily the location of the cause of the problem. Each treatment session is tailored to your specific needs at that particular time, whether that is to work on specific injuries, areas of tension, medical conditions, or to simply relax the mind. Over a number of treatments we can look beyond the “issues”, and help you address their “cause”.
During your first visit we will confidentially discuss any specific injuries or issues, your health and lifestyle and any medical conditions. We may then need to take a series of range of movement measurements and postural alignment checks and talk through the various treatment options. Therefore, while it is not essential, if you are seeking massage to address particular complex problems I would ask you to consider booking the 90 minutes session as this will still allow good time for a decent massage, although I do appreciate that you may be on a budget and that this is not appropriate for everyone. Subsequently 60 minutes would suffice for further treatments, as these only require a brief check-in (although of course, you would always be welcome to book the longer session).

Please note that there is no additional charge for Ultrasound (other than treating within the allocated time slots above), however treatments involving Acupuncture Needles and Kinesiology Tape may incur a small additional charge to cover the cost of the materials.
Multi-Treatment packages are popular with many clients, so please ask for details.
A student discount is available, although Student ID will be required.
A discount for Emergency Services Personnel (Police, Fire & Ambulance) is also available. Again, ID will be required.
Most Credit/Debit cards can be accepted through iZettle card payment processing.
I regret that due to the demise of the Cheque Guarantee scheme cheques will only be accepted from regular clients for multi-treatment packages.
